Children & Youth

Despite trends that indicate that child and youth poverty is on the decline in Canada, there are hundreds of thousands of children and youth still living in poverty today. Child and youth poverty advocates agree that it does not have to exist: changes to income support, decent work opportunities, affordable childcare, and addressing racism and discrimination are all ways to solve child and youth poverty in Canada. The resources in this section include up to date statistics of child poverty, and potential solutions to this complex issue.
