Equity & Diversity

The face of poverty in Canada is represented by a diverse population, and some groups are more affected by poverty than others, especially children and youth, persons with disabilities, Immigrants and New Canadians, Indigenous peoples, members of the LGBTQ2S+ community, older adults, and women. Each group faces unique challenges and barriers, making it easier for individuals in poverty to fall through the cracks in services and programs. This section explores these intersecting experiences in depth.
