Food Security

The United Nations defines food security as when “all people, at all times, have physical, social and economic access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food that meets their food preferences and dietary needs for an active and healthy life”. Many Canadians struggle with food insecurity, making difficult financial decisions and navigating complex food support systems. The resources in this section explore the experiences of those experiencing food insecurity and what can be done about it.
